[ 100 Theme challenge: #50 Breaking the Rules ]

The finished product of this

This is a class assignment that I thought way too hard on. This was meant to be an entertainment piece (dance, theater, fashion) but I somehow managed to come up with this background for it:

That guy on the right is a working class Irishman or Scotsman (can't settle on which one) who has immigrated to America. The guy on the left is obviously a high class gentleman type from America.
Through some random event they meet and an attraction is formed. Of course there are going to be obstacles for them to pass like, 1) Homosexuals are very bad 2) Socialites should not mix with low class poors 3) He's an Irish-Scot and the higher class would rather not associate with them 4) He's probably in one of those Irish gangs...

It's like some sort of Romeo + Juliet scenario but with guys!

AHEM.
As you can see I definitely thought WAY TOO HARD on this for what it was done for.

I liked the original but I love the way this turned out on the colored board. The ink took decently to it. The only thing i have a problem with would be the red headed guy, his face didn't turn out quite the same as the original picture i drew. It doesn't look bad but it bothers me somewhat. =/

This is the kind of stuff i would loooove to do professionally. Drawin pics of guys together would make me a very happy girl.
1800's to early 1900's fashion + men dancing = Happy Rae.

I am totally going to adopt these guys and keep drawing um, I've grown quite attached to them and feel the need to keep um alive. They just need some names! XD
What say you? Rory? Finlay? Wyatt? (Ok so Wyatt is actually an English name...) for the Irish-Scot?
And what of the dark haired gent, is he a Liam? Ethan? Aaric? William? Robert?

Hell if i know, any suggestions? =D I'm open for any.

Oh yea! This is my 100th submitted picture... This calls for dancing! :icondorkdanceplz:

First off. Yummy. Mmmm

*fans self* I want to be the piece of ham in between that sandwich.

Anywho, now that I have embarrassed myself. This picture is wonderful, I love the style, the time-centric outfits, their faces, and especially their poses.

As for the names, I definately vote Ewan for the Irish-Scot, and Liam for the other. That's just me, though xD

William would be a good choice as well!

Woo girl thats HOTT! :hump: might need to take a cold shower now! lol

They look very intertwined and into one another
I love the costumes too they are very period, though it would have been funny to see the irish-scott in a kilt! lol :giggle:

name the English guy William
and the Irish guy......mmmmmm Fin!

If you do another picture of them I would love to see one of these too romping around in the bed...*hint hint* :XD:

Like this--it has that vintage look, the yellowish parchment-wash. Caught the two women in the background (it is never as taboo for women to do this sort of thing). Names; Richard for the posh, Tom for the blue collar.

Ha! I ALMOST put a kilt on the Irish-Scot actually! I only opted out since i wanted him to look more "working class" so pants it was.......but mark my words, I will draw him in a kilt sometime! :shakefist:

*makes name notes*
I was leaning toward William and Finlay (Fin for short!) myself... I'm kinda tempted to have the Irish man's surname be Finnigan - Finlay Finnigan, it's got a nice ring to it, ne? :giggle:

*cough* Oh knowing me a romping around in the bed (or in an alley, or in the back of a pub, or in one of those turn of the century cars...) type of picture will turn up soon. ;p
